Kiva
Every now and then I stumble on a real gem – today’s was Kiva. A site distributing micro-finance to mostly third world countries.
If you don’t know what micro-finance is – very simply, it’s a small loan – usually from a number of investors to small business owners. Its a way to help people and get most of your money back… It doesn’t get much more sustainable than that.
From just US$25 and make a real and lasting difference to someone who needs your help!
Visit the Kiva website and see how easy it is.
Good riddance to bad rubbish….
Just watching on TV that Michael Jackson is dead. I wouldn’t wish it on him, as I wouldn’t wish it on anyone… However – I’m sure there are many parents (normal ones – not the type who would hope to sue because there child has been abused) who will sleep better knowing he isn’t around any more…
There is not one person I know who were they wrongly accused of being a paedophile who would for one minute buy themselves out of a court case. Most regular people would want their day in court to prove their innocence. I for one have never, and will never, believe this ‘thing’ was innocent of these accusations! The court case made him look no more of an innocent than OJ – and we all know where that ended.
Can’t wait to hear the conspiracy theories…
I for one won’t be shedding any tears!
11th Hour, 11th Day, 11th Month…
They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them.

911
It´s hard for anyone to let this date pass without remembering what happened. I guess this will, to use an English reference, be written into history like the gun powder plot. Now there’s a thought, lets go and burn some effigies of Bin Laden… They seem to like burning our Union Flag and the Stars and Stripes, lets return the compliment.
The murdering scum who committed the atrocities on 911 will no doubt rot in their own version of hell for their deeds… Read the rest of this entry »
