Regular readers may well be aware of my post “Some people are just born to be theives” about Jeff Norton of Kenosha WI.

Well, at the beginning of February Jeff contacted me full of apologies, offering to set things to rights. He offered to repay me the money he stole in instalments starting the 26th of February, and on the same date subsequently.

He also requested I remove a comment about his ex-wife made by another aggrieved client of his. In good faith I hid this comment. I have now put it back.

I very much wanted to think that Jeff wanted to put things right – I do believe in giving someone a chance – I thought maybe he’d got religion or something! And, his apologies did seem very sincere. Anyone who knows him though will not be surprised to know he has not kept his word to date.

Despite a number of reminders on my part I have not heard anything since the 3rd February – the 26th of Feb past, as recently has the 26th March – not a word.

It’s a shame – for a brief moment there I thought a leopard could change its spots.

So – to hell with it. The comment goes back, and I have posted the emails publicly. Jeff, if you read this – I am very disappointed in you once again. I will, as I’ve said in the emails still accept restitution and even your apologies on completed payment. Until then – this all stays.

Thank you for allowing me to make this up and to do the right thing here. I am in your debt. I receive a monthly check on the 26th of each month. I am prepared to pay you 450.00 for the next two months and an addition 450.00 for the trouble I have caused you and your family. Also I now need you help on something else. I don’t have a list or contact information on Christopher in Ohio. He is owed 300.00 as well. Do you have his information? Please feel free to forward my information onto anyone that has contacted you so I can make restitution to those persons.

Thank you for doing the right thing. Albeit after quite some time. As a mark of good faith on my part I am willing to hide the blog post on receipt of the first payment you described. And, I will destroy the post and comments on receipt of the final payment.

Thats fine, I have never done a Western Union before but I am sure I can figure it out. Can I use MoneyGram i think their fee is 10 Dollars?

I had high hopes you were going to the right thing Jeff, coming out of the woodwork as you did. Seems once again, due to the lack of communication, any faith shown in you may well have been unfounded.

To any other victims who know me – I did not pass on any contact details for Jeff Norton until (unlikely as it was) he had begun to pay. It was my intention to contact everyone I have had previous contact with at that stage as I didn’t want to waste your time – or raise your hopes – the right choice as it turns out…
