A massive thank you to the following people and businesses who are helping or have helped so far with my Siete Islas charity walk…
David White, the Managing Director of AxiaFX – one of the currency exchange companies we use from time-to-time who has very kindly covered my equipment and travel expenses. You may find it interesting to know that David is a Trustee of the Charlton Athletic Community Trust and he has a strong belief in education through sport.
Mitch Mitchell, the well known personal trainer in Lanzarote who is helping me with training for the walk and has designed a training program for me. His support and enthusiasm is a fantastic motivator!

Changing lives with blogs
There’s no doubt blogs have changed the lives of many bloggers and blog readers.
From the bloggers point of view it has opened up new ways to earn income – honestly and dishonestly, new ways to promote what they do, new ways to communicate their ideas. The blog platform has given a voice to everyone. It’s got people known, it’s created friendships, it’s made fortunes, and it given a voice to everyone with access to the Internet – good or bad.
From the readers perspective they have access to a wealth of information, ideas and opinions inaccessible previously. I guess somewhere along the way many lives have been affected by that. In addition blogging opened up a new way to find like minded individuals. From this point you can assume that there are many blogs providing support to their readers – were I ill for instance – I’d be more likely to research online support than through any local meetings or the like.

Starting to raise funds for my project…
As I’ve mentioned about my little ‘pet project’ before, I need to raise a fair amount of funds to get it up and running…
Having explored commercial sponsorship via a trusted friend – I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not the best option (of course that’s not to say I wouldn’t be happy to talk to any potential sponsors). I don’t thinks it’s necessarily the quickest option, I really need to keep the details of what I’m doing secret – until I can actually do it, and then there’s a matter of control – I simply don’t want to give any away!
